About Mission of Care Foundation

Our service focuses on the Metropolitan Phoenix area. When people have chronic or terminal medical conditions in an advanced state, the current healthcare system has gaps that can lead to problematic medical bills, caregiver and family stress, and fatigue. By providing additional resources, financial support, education, and emotional support, we can get patients and families to comfort and wellbeing. Mission of Care Foundation helps by facilitating additional home care, home medical equipment, supplies, volunteer assistance, and other such support. We are a new 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

When patients and families are dealing with a chronic or life-limiting disease in an advanced state, the situations often share some common characteristics. First, as much as is practical, patients want to be at home, with their loved ones, comforted by familiar surroundings. Family caregivers worry about whether they are providing the proper support and whether they are prepared for what’s to come. Even with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or health insurance, gaps in coverage leave families with mounting medical bills. Patients are left without proper support at their most vulnerable time.

Our founders are healthcare professionals who see this situation all too often. They created Mission of Care to be part of the solution. With donations from doctors, healthcare providers, grants, and the community, we facilitate palliative and other care for families in the Phoenix, Arizona region. This may include:

• Assistance organizing medications
• Help with advance care planning
• Help with pain and symptom management
• Caregiver training
• Providing equipment such as hospital beds for home use
• Providing medical supplies
• Emotional and spiritual support
• Medical social worker support
• Volunteer support
